As part of EPFL’s Solutions 4 Sustainability initiative, LauzHack is organizing a sustainability-themed hackathon to develop solutions for the EPFL campus.

Requirements

For the final presentation, teams can implement an app, design a wireframe, create a simulation, make a video, build a model, namely anything to demonstrate their solution! Teams must limit themselves to three minutes, and can use this slide template or limit themselves to four slides.

Judging Criteria

  • Sustainability impact / potential
    How broad is the impact for the proposed idea/demo? Can it scale and/or be transferred to other communities in a sustainable manner?
  • Impressiveness
    How innovative, original, unexpected is your hack? Does it do something entirely novel, take a fresh approach to an old problem, or creatively contribute to an existing solution?
  • Practicality and feasibility
    Does the demo/prototype convince you about the practicality and the feasibility of the idea?
